Hello, and welcome to The Fluent World Foundation, Inc..
My journey to leading this organization has taken me across a wide spectrum, from serving as a Machinist Mate 2nd Class in the Navy and working on complex systems like nuclear reactors, steam turbines, air conditioning and refrigeration, to putting in hard labor bucking hay in a field in my youth. Throughout all of these experiences, I have held a deep passion for knowledge, a profound respect for business principles, and an unwavering commitment to seeing entrepreneurs succeed with the lessons I pass on to them.
This commitment is deeply personal. My mother dedicated her entire career to her school districts, starting as a bus driver and eventually working her way up to a technology coordinator. I grew up seeing firsthand the immense passion and energy that teachers give every single day, often with little recognition in return. They are truly passionate and driven to not only teach but to see others succeed, a core value that directly led to the creation of The Fluent World.
I wanted to create something specifically for teachers that helped them realize their full potential, providing them with support no matter where their career journey took them. Our goal is to make sure teachers have access to these world-class tools and resources as cost-effectively as possible, which is why we pursued and achieved our goal of becoming an established nonprofit organization. We believe in empowerment, any subject, anytime, anyplace.
Our Journey: The Evolution of Our Mission
Our Story
The Fluent World began with a simple yet powerful idea: to bridge the gap between communities and cultures through language education. Our early focus was sparked by the challenge of finding adequate American Sign Language (ASL) resources in our semi-rural area. This challenge quickly blossomed into a platform designed to connect people with real teachers from around the world to learn, grow, and achieve their goals.
Based on feedback from our early instructors and supporters, we quickly realized that the platform's greatest strength was the human connection between teachers and students, regardless of the subject. This led to a critical pivot: we expanded our scope from language to include all academic, creative, and professional subjects.
This transformation culminated in a major relaunch in June 2025, with
a primary focus on supporting teachers in their journey, both in the classroom and in their entrepreneurial endeavors. We have weathered ups and downs along the way, but through it all, we continued to push forward with the conviction that we could and should provide more.
What We Provide Today
At The Fluent World Foundation, Inc. we connect educators with the tools, mentorship, and community needed to achieve economic resilience. Our offerings include:
- 100% Free Core Services: Mentorship, professional development, entrepreneurial education, and community support for educators.
- Cost-Effective LMS Platform: A robust Learning Management System that allows educators to host and deliver their own classes. No commission fees and no hidden costs. A system built to help educators keep more of their earnings without fear of high costs.
- Waivers and Scholarships: Financial assistance to ensure the platform fee is never a barrier for those who need it most. No educator will be denied our resources based on financial stability.
